Las Vegas Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Country Music Fans April 5-8 for "The Week Vegas Goes Country®"
LAS VEGAS, March 8, 2013 /CNW/ - For one fun-filled weekend, fans will find the hottest names in country music on-stage and up-close and personal in the Entertainment Capital of the World for "The Week Vegas Goes Country." From free concerts to celebrity meet-and-greets, four days of fan-focused events lend to the excitement leading up to the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM), which will be broadcast live on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 7 at 5 p.m. PDT. Hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, the ACM Awards honor the best performers and introduce emerging artists in country music.
Brad Paisley will host the Third Annual ACM Fan Jam at The Orleans Arena. This live remote location gives country music lovers the ultimate fan-pass to be a part of the ACM Awards as Paisley and others take to the stage as part of the telecast. Tickets for the Fan Jam can be purchased through The Orleans Hotel and Casino.
Kicking off festivities, The ACM Party for a Cause Festival and ACM Weekend takes places April 5-6 with top country stars taking to the stage each night.
The ACM Party for a Cause Festival at Orleans Hotel and Casino features The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley and Hunter Hayes as headliners. As part of the philanthropic emphasis, the two-day outdoor music festival will benefit a variety of charities. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the resort.
For the seventh consecutive year, ACM Weekend returns to the Fremont Street Experience. Headlined by Gary Allan and Jake Owen, ACM Weekend features two nights of all-star concerts that are free and open-to-the-public, beginning at 9 p.m. both nights.
Fifteen-time ACM Award-winner, Tim McGraw will tape an all-star concert special, ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night, on Monday, April 8 at the MGM Grand Garden Area. The two-hour concert will feature performances from Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift and Ne-Yo. All proceeds will benefit ACM Lifting Lives and the show will be broadcast at a later date on the CBS Television Network.
