ROUGEMONT, QC, Oct. 26, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Lassonde Industries Inc. (TSX: LAS.A) ("Lassonde") is pleased to announce the appointment of Michel Simard to its board of directors, effective October 26, 2018.
Mr. Simard holds two Bachelor's degrees, one in Psychology from York University in Toronto and another in Industrial Relations from the Université de Montréal. He was employed at Lassonde for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2016.
During that period, Mr. Simard held several management positions, particularly in the area of Human Resources, in addition to serving as Assistant to the CEO of Lassonde and as a member of the Company's executive committee.
Prior to joining Lassonde, Mr. Simard held various management and Human Resource management positions at a number of different companies, including Power Corporation (Voyageur Inc.), Reynolds Aluminium Company of Canada, and ASEA (ASEA Brown Boveri).
Further, Ève-Lyne Biron has left her position on Lassonde's board of directors. Lassonde wishes to thank Mrs. Biron for her contribution since she was appointed in December 2014.
