TORONTO, Sept. 11, 2015 /CNW/ - The most-watched new series from the 2014/15 TV season THE FLASH is racing onto CraveTV today. The massive hit series begins streaming today before its highly anticipated Season 2 premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV. The series will become the new anchor for CraveTV's popular Superhero Collection which also includes fellow hits ARROW, MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., SMALLVILLE, and more.
The Emmy®-nominated superhero series bolted out of the gate with its Season 1 premiere last year on CTV, earning praise from critics and drawing a massive average audience in Canada of 2.5 million viewers in its debut fall season. THE FLASH finished the season as the only new TV show in the Top 5 most-watched programs of the year for A25-54.
"The Superhero collection is one CraveTV's most popular destinations for premium TV programming," said Mike Cosentino, Head, Programming, CTV Networks and CraveTV. "THE FLASH raises the bar for TV superhero series. We're excited to give Canadians another opportunity to experience THE FLASH and to build momentum for this blockbuster series on CTV."
A spinoff of ARROW and filmed primarily in Vancouver, THE FLASH follows Barry Allen (Grant Gustin, GLEE, 90210) as he goes from crime scene investigator, to an elite crime fighter with super-human speed.
