MONTRÉAL, May 7, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Aéro Montréal, Québec's aerospace cluster, is proud to launch the "Rise to the Future" campaign to promote careers in aerospace, in collaboration with the Comité sectoriel de main-d'œuvre en aérospatiale (CAMAQ), the École des métiers de l'aérospatiale de Montréal (EMAM), the École nationale d'aérotechnique (ENA), and industry partners.
"This campaign's goal is to respond to the labour shortage being experienced by the entire industry by highlighting the many career opportunities offered by this rapidly growing high-tech sector in Québec," says Suzanne M. Benoît, President of Aéro Montréal.
Countless careers and challenges
Through a Web and social media advertising campaign, the public is invited to visit www.aerofuture.ca to learn more about an industry that is actively seeking skilled workers. The site also features career profiles, job postings and a wide range of training programs, as well as information about technological innovations that are of considerable interest to future workers.
A campaign targeting a diverse audience
The "Rise to the Future" campaign is targeting workers looking for a career change, job seekers, Secondary 4 and 5 students, parents, and guidance counselors. Secondary 4 and 5 students will be able to participate in various "discovery" and promotional activities that will be held as part of the campaign throughout the 2018-2019 school year. This includes EMAM's Open House event on May 10 and 11. Find out more about this activity by visiting the campaign's Facebook page at: facebook.ca/oselaero
An innovative and booming industry
"With nearly 30,000 jobs to be filled by 2027, aerospace companies need more skilled workers than ever before to remain competitive and stay abreast of the latest technological innovations," says Mrs. Benoît.
