Launch of new Boursin® Red Chili Pepper in Canada
Locally produced exclusively from Canadian milk
MONTREAL, March 25, 2014 /CNW/ - Boursin unveiled today its latest creation: Boursin Red Chili Pepper cheese spread, just in time for the summer season and extended cocktail parties. Like the entire Boursin cheese line, Boursin Red Chili Pepper is produced in Quebec and made from 100% Canadian milk. This fresh cheese, with its signature creamy texture, is seasoned with quality spices, giving it a mildly piquant edge—a contrast of textures and flavours that promises a wonderfully memorable sensory experience!
A flourishing brand
Just as the food industry has named hot peppers and spices as key trends, Boursin too has recognized the potential of this new flavour. "Boursin® is a well-known and widely appreciated brand that has been a part of Quebecers' daily lives for over 30 years. Since it began being produced locally in 2011, its popularity has grown even more. In fact, sales of Boursin cheese soared by 20% last year. The arrival of Boursin Red Chili Pepper will unquestionably enhance the brand and offer Quebecers something new to serve on their cheese plates," said Marie-Ève Robert, Brand Manager – Boursin, Bel Cheese Canada Inc.
The Boursin product line, which now boasts seven flavours, is available at the specialty cheese counters of major grocery chains, as well as in independent grocers throughout the country. Boursin is featured among "Our Cheeses."
