VISA EXPLORE credit card: designed for travellers
The VISA EXPLORE credit card is a Gold-type card featuring a generous points program that is particularly attractive for travelers who regularly charge their transportation, trips and currency purchases to their cards.
More specifically, VISA EXPLORE offers:
- 3 points for every dollar charged to the card for pre-authorized payments
- 2 points for every dollar charged to the card for purchases in the travel and transportation categories
- 2 points for every dollar charged to the card on foreign currency purchases
- 1 point for every dollar charged to the card for all other types of purchases
For globe-trotting couples, another valuable benefit of VISA EXPLORE is that a second card can be obtained without the need to pay annual fees. Points accumulated can be redeemed for all sorts of travel (without restriction on dates or destination), for over 350 different types of products and items, or for gift certificates valid at more than 80 participating merchant locations.
The card also features a comprehensive travel insurance program, including care and hospitalization for up to 31 days, trip cancellation and interruption, baggage delay, and rental car collision and damage coverage.
VISA DOLLARS Card
Moreover, Laurentian Bank is launching its VISA DOLLARS card, which features a reward program offering 3% cash back on pre-authorized payments, and 2% cash back on purchases in the grocery and fuel categories. With its 3% cash back on pre-authorized bill payments and its unique annual fee for couples, VISA DOLLARS is the most advantageous cash back card of its kind offering as much to cardholders. Like the VISA EXPLORE card, it offers a purchase insurance and extended warranty program as well.

In addition to these two cards, Laurentian Bank also offers the FADOQ VISA Gold Privileges card, which enables members to renew their membership for free (with a minimum monthly average purchase amount of $500), as well as to enjoy the benefits of an attractive rewards program. The Bank's line of cards also includes the VISA Québec Network of Engineers Infinity card, which offers exclusive benefits to members of that network.
