LCBO Extends Hours For Holiday Shoppers

TORONTO, Dec. 7, 2015 /CNW/ - For the convenience of our customers, many LCBO stores will observe extended hours of operation this holiday season. Extended hours will vary by location and customers are asked to contact their local LCBO for more information.

All LCBO stores will open at regular hours and close at 6:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, and on New Year's Eve, Thursday, December 31.

LCBO stores and head office will be closed on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25 and Boxing Day, Saturday, December 26.  LCBO stores will re-open on Sunday, December 27. Head office will remain closed on Monday, December 28 to observe Boxing Day and will re-open on Tuesday, December 29. LCBO stores and head office will be closed New Year's Day, Friday, January 1.

LCBO agency stores must close on Christmas Day and New Year's Day; however, some may choose to open on Boxing Day. Agency stores are locally-owned retail establishments that contract with the LCBO to sell beverage alcohol and other products in communities that are too small to support LCBO stores.

Customers should check for individual store hours with their local LCBO store or online at www.lcbo.com using the 'Store Search' feature.  They can also contact the toll-free, bilingual helloLCBO Contact Centre at 1-800-668-5226 or online at www.helloLCBO.com.  In Toronto, call 416-365-5900.  Up until Sunday, December 27, 2015 the helloLCBO contact centre will have extended hours of Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In addition, helloLCBO will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20. The contact centre will close at 6:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, and it will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Please bring a reusable bag when you shop at the LCBO and, after your holiday entertaining, please take your empty beverage alcohol containers (large and small glass bottles, PET plastic, Tetra Pak cartons, bag-in-box and cans) to The Beer Store for a full deposit refund.
