Leaders Expedition launches "10 Days That Will Transform The World" campaign to showcase proven global model for changing the way leaders lead
TORONTO, March 5, 2020 /CNW/ - Leaders Expedition (LEx), the Toronto-based not-for-profit organization building leadership and engagement initiatives in 35 countries, today launches its "Ten Days That Will Transform The World" campaign in its global effort to reorient leadership narratives, cultures and practices worldwide.
"We need to change the way leaders lead," said Bob Westrope, who founded Leaders Expedition in 2015 and has been working with LEx communities that extend from Nairobi to Edmonton toward the common goal of transforming the future by elevating 1 million LEx members to positions of influence, power and impact by 2030 – from classrooms, to boardrooms to legislatures.
"Failure is not an option in the effort to address the impact of unprecedented forces challenging human existence," Westrope said. "A Manhattan Project scale initiative focused on reversing a systemic, global leadership insufficiency is an existential necessity".
In the evocative journey through time over 10 days in March, one year will elapse every day on an imagined but compelling timeline that Westrope developed to demonstrate how LEx will help engineer hopeful – and effective - solutions.
"It's a vision inspired by the potential of our future rather than being defined by the legacies of our collective pasts," Westrope said.
The project timetable aligns with a pending milestone in the completion of the organization's global technology hub, into which $250,000 (US) has been invested and which is 90% finished. A Case for Funding has been developed to secure US$10 million to fully operationalize the LEx eco-system - $250,000 is immediately required to conclude the development of the community platform and allow for continued operations.
As Westrope notes "It's a historic irony that in an Age of Abundance, just when we are on the cusp of being able to address virtually all human want and need in an equitable and sustainable manner – we appear ready to shoot ourselves in the head. Our "10 Days That Will Transform The World" reveals a pathway to avoiding that possibility. We must prevail."
Leaders Expedition (LEx) is a global community of 650+ members from 35+ countries committed to changing the way leaders lead systemically and globally by 2030. It does that at the community level through its self-forming peer-support based LocalCircles, and through its 15 GlobalCircles, likewise focused on sectoral transformation.
