Dream expands beyond city limits to foster connected communities
CALGARY, March 23, 2017 /CNW/ - Following a milestone year in 2016, Homes by Dream, one of Western Canada's premier homebuilders, continues to refine and reinvent its lineup of highly-regarded homes to better fit the needs of Canadians while furthering its commitment to build better communities.
2016 marked Homes by Dream's entrance into the Alberta market, when the company's development arm launched the new community of Vista Crossing in Crossfield, selected for its proximity to employment opportunities in Calgary while maintaining the character of rural living. Vista Crossing reinforces Dream's resolution to invest in vibrant small towns, and the community was recently recognized by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) with silver honours for best welcome centre and detached community of the year. Since then, Dream has been working alongside the Town of Crossfield to refresh its Main Street, which included initiatives such as the community's fire hall expansion and library renovation.
"Homes by Dream is excited to further expand our product line to offer ideal homes for every stage of life, from buyers purchasing their first home to those looking to acquire an estate," said Ryan Armstrong, VP Housing, Western Canada, Dream Unlimited. Armstrong has spent the past 16 years building homes with industry-leading companies, enabling him to accurately predict the needs and desires of homebuyers to assist in creating the ideal next generation of housing and development. "We believe in 'building science' and maximizing the quality of life through building better homes, whether that means incorporating new technology to provide healthier solutions or creating a connection to the outdoors by incorporating more windows into a design. We take great pride in our design process and build every home as if It was being built for a member of our family."
Dream will continue this momentum in 2017 by expanding its involvement in recreational and youth initiatives as name partner for the Dream Junior Golf Academy at Collicutt Siding Golf Club in Crossfield—the largest program of its kind in Canada. In addition, Dream will launch a community program for the residents of Vista Crossing, which includes activations for its 20 acres of green spaces, family events and workshops to continue building an engaging community that brings residents together.
"Dream is proud to be the name partner of the Dream Junior Golf Academy at Collicutt Siding Golf Club and looks forward to launching community activations within Vista Crossing," says Trevor Dickie, VP, Calgary Land. Dickie has spent 22 years working with leading real-estate development companies on retail, commercial, industrial and residential projects. "It is our hope that events and programming for parks and common spaces within Vista Crossing will bring families together and foster the growth of a connected, dynamic community for all ages."
