MONTREAL, June 13, 2018 /CNW/ - Mind Mental Health Technologies Inc. a company which leverages mobility, artificial science and machine learning to develop products and services that help detect, manage and predict mental illness, today announced the appointment of Ms. Lisa Raitt to its board of advisors.
mind.me is an artificial intelligence platform built to help people who battle depression, better detect, manage, and ultimately predict depressive episodes. mind.me is a passive application that, once installed on a mobile device, requires no input or effort from the user. When mind.me detects the early symptoms of depression, treatment will be provided with both clinical and non-clinical interventions.
"We have to recognize depression early on, so that it can be treated more effectively; this is a common theme in the many depression roundtable discussions I've been involved with over the years," said Ms. Raitt. "mind.me offers exciting new technology that is non-obtrusive and passive, which is very promising for patients, caregivers and clinicians. The timing and relevance of mind.me's work is of utter importance in a world where more and more people are battling this invisible disease. I believe mind.me will make a world changing contribution for those living with and treating depression. I am proud to join them as an advisor and look forward to working with such an impressive group of individuals."
The Hon. Lisa Raitt, P.C., M.P., LL.B
