Leading Orange County retail team Keith Kropfl and Michael Ganz join Avison Young in Irvine, CA

Kropfl becomes Principal; highly regarded team to further real estate firm's retail and enterprise solutions services in Southern California

IRVINE, CA, July 29, 2014 /CNW/ - Christopher Cooper, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Southern California region, announced today that commercial real estate industry professionals Keith Kropfl and Michael Ganz have joined the firm in Irvine, CA.

Effective immediately, Kropfl becomes a Principal and Ganz joins the company as an Associate. Kropfl will focus on expanding the firm's retail and enterprise solutions services in Orange County, with an emphasis on large and mid-cap corporate retail occupier strategy, site selection, leasing, acquisitions and development. Ganz will continue his partnership with Kropfl as they collectively grow their business, while servicing new and existing clients. Both Kropfl and Ganz were most recently with Voit Real Estate Services in Irvine, where they served as a Senior Vice-President and Associate, respectively.

Avison Young opened its Irvine office in November 2012. The company currently has nine offices in California.

Kropfl brings to Avison Young 23 years of commercial real estate experience. Throughout his career, he has been active in the sale and leasing of retail, industrial and office properties. His experience includes tenant and buyer representation, development, leasing, sales, property management and commercial financing, and he has built an extensive track record working with corporate retail clients. Past and current clients include: 24 Hour Fitness, Forever 21, Kohl's, Applied Medical Resources, Intel Corporation, TriGem America Corporation, United Parcel Service, International Education Institute, Kendall-Jackson, CSK, Auto/O'Reilly Auto, Office Depot, Masimo Corporation, Kip America and Spa Gregories.

Prior to serving as a Senior Vice-President at Voit Real Estate Services for three years, Kropfl was a Vice-President with Travers Realty Corporation from 2000 to 2011, specializing in landlord and tenant representation. From 1993 to 2000, he served as a Vice-President with Alden Equities Group, where he specialized in the sale, leasing, management, receivership and development of commercial properties. He moved to Alden after commencing his career with Grubb & Ellis Company (1990 to 1993) as a commercial properties landlord and tenant representative. Kropfl is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from California State University, Long Beach.

Ganz specializes in retail property sales, leasing and investment sales transactions. He focuses on business development and client service in Irvine and other areas of Orange County and Southern California. Prior to joining Voit Real Estate Services, Ganz served as regional sales manager for Allied Modular Building Systems and as a business development associate at Tribus Real Estate Technologies. Ganz is a member of ICSC and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from California State University, Fullerton, Mihaylo School of Business and Economics.
