Lean Startup Day at MaRS aims to strengthen Toronto's startup community
Free event will live stream popular U.S. Lean Startup Conference
TORONTO, Nov. 30, 2012 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to attend Lean Startup Day at MaRS Discovery District on December 3, 2012.
The event offers entrepreneurs, investors and educators the opportunity to network, learn about lean methods and see what other successful startups are doing.
The Lean Startup movement, pioneered by entrepreneur Eric Ries, proposes that in today's fast-paced marketplace, small businesses must be all the more nimble - quick to execute ideas and adapt to customer needs. Hosted by StartupNorth blogger David Crow, Lean Startup Day at MaRS includes a panel of eight startup community leaders, workshops and a demo pit of 14 lean startups. A live stream of San Francisco's sold-out Lean Startup Conference will be broadcast free of charge, starting at noon.
