Ledcor Group of Companies makes the List of Canada's 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures of 2014
VANCOUVER, Nov. 20, 2014 /CNW/ - Ledcor Group of Companies is proud to once again be recognized as one of Canada's 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures following its inclusion on the same list in 2011.
The award program, which is in its 10th year, annually recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for having a culture that has helped enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage.
"Ledcor won in 2011, and since that time have sustained continued growth and retention of top talent in an incredibly difficult labour market," said Marty Parker, CEO of Waterstone and Chair of the Canada's 10 program. "Since their last win, Ledcor has seen amazing financial results and have nearly doubled in size, while employee engagement scores have continued to increase. Ledcor is a fantastic example of flexibility and willingness to evolve and adopt a great bottoms-up grassroots initiative. With contributing to nearly $7.5M in 3 years in corporate and employee giving, Ledcor is critically important to the Canadian community. We are thrilled to have them included again in 2014."
"We are honoured to be selected again for this award. Since winning the award in 2011, we have continued to define and celebrate our culture. We recently launched True Blue, a way to communicate and reinforce our culture at Ledcor," said Ledcor's Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Jeannette McAffer. "True Blue helps define our culture as one where family, community, safety and teamwork are the pillars of our success. Thanks to all of our outstanding employees who embrace and bring alive the True Blue spirit. We are in good company with some great organizations also being selected this year and know our employees will be proud of this honour."
The award was created by executive search firm Waterstone Human Capital to distinguish great workplaces where culture impacts performance. The winning organizations are selected by a panel of experts based on six measurement criteria, including: vision and leadership; recruitment and hiring for fit; cultural alignment and measurement; retention, rewards and recognition; organizational performance; and corporate social responsibility.
