Rogers adds the LG Optimus G to its lineup and continues to grow the largest selection of the fastest devices available in Canada
TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - LG and Rogers Communications today announce the LG Optimus G, a premium LTE-enabled smartphone with a unique 2600 MHz enabled version that will be exclusively available at Rogers in November 2012, as Canada's first 2600 MHz enabled LTE smartphone.
The LG Optimus G takes speed to the next level by offering maximum theoretical LTE download speeds of up to 100 Mbps and will be the first smartphone to support connectivity on the 2600 MHz spectrum. From live streaming HD sports, downloading HD files and streaming YouTube video clips and movies, the LG Optimus G will allow Canadians to do more with their mobile device at faster speeds than ever before.

Rogers is continuing to roll out its LTE network, expanding coverage in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax, Calgary, Moncton, St. Johns and Vancouver, and adding a number of new cities from coast to coast with the plan to cover approximately 60 per cent of the population by the end of the year. On October 1st, Rogers plans to launch LTE in Kingston, Edmonton, Quebec City, Oakville, Burlington, London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Barrie. Even more cities will launch in 2012 and throughout 2013.
