NÉDÉLEC, QC, Sept. 1, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
By investing in the start-up of small and medium enterprises, the Government of Canada is standing by its commitments and helping businesses get off the ground so that they can create high-quality jobs and thus ensure the prosperity of the Canadian economy.
Parliamentary Secretary David Lametti, acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, announced that L'Gros Trappeur Inc. has been granted $61,150 in financial assistance, in the form of a repayable contribution, for the business's start-up and commercialization efforts.
Founded in 2013, L'Gros Trappeur manufactures raw fur clothing and other items, including boots, hats, mittens and slippers, as well as decorative objects like rugs and cushions. The funding awarded through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP) will help the business erect a building, acquire manufacturing equipment and work on commercializing its products.
