Liberty Leaf's Upgrades to the Just Kush Facility Nearly Complete

As a result, Just Kush will meet all Health Canada requirements
for an ACMPR licence – and be fully equipped and ready
for its Attestation of Readiness review

VANCOUVER, Jan. 4, 2018 /CNW/ - Liberty Leaf Holdings Ltd. (CSE: LIB, OTCQB: LIBFF and FSE: HN3P) (the "Company" or "Liberty Leaf") announced today it is progressing ahead of schedule with upgrades to Just Kush, meaning that the facility will be able to meet all Health Canada requirements for an Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR) licence. Liberty Leaf is also fully equipping Just Kush for its Attestation of Readiness review.

"We started the upgrades immediately following a visit to the facility by Liberty Leaf's team of due-diligence consultants," says Liberty Leaf CEO, William Rascan.

"The team's assessment established a few areas of improvement and provided the detailed implementation steps required for our first phase of build-out," Rascan explains.

In order to ensure that the work-in-progress upgrades conform precisely to the submitted ACMPR application from all operation aspects, Liberty Leaf has contracted the services of Cannabis Compliance Incorporated (CCI). CCI will conduct a site walk-through on January 10 to thoroughly check all work-in progress.

Upon satisfactory completion, Liberty Leaf will make a video of the completed upgrades and forward it to Health Canada. This video, along with other data and expert reports, comprises the Attestation of Readiness that Health Canada requires before granting an ACMPR licence.

Rascan says: "We are confident that we are covering all Health Canada requirements and will have the necessary proof-of-production readiness. As a result, we expect a streamlined application process, one that bypasses the typical pre-licence inspection with faster security clearances. We're hopeful that Health Canada will grant our licence before the July planned timeline for recreational cannabis legalization in Canada."

Liberty Leaf owns a 60% interest in Just Kush, along with 100% of North Road Ventures, which is another late-stage applicant under Health Canada's ACMPR.
