LONDON, ON, Nov. 5, 2015 /CNW/ - Libro Credit Union (Libro) today announced it has been recognized as a 2016 Platinum Level Aon Best Employer in Canada. This national honour acknowledges organizations who demonstrate strong and exceptional performance in employee engagement, leadership, performance culture and employment brand.
Forty-one organizations made the 2016 List of the Aon Best Employers in Canada. Libro was one of 29 organizations across the country who received the Platinum Level honour, scoring in the top 25 percent. Another 12 organizations received the Gold Level honour for scoring in the top third.
"Libro is thrilled to receive this prestigious honour from Aon Hewitt, a leading global provider in human resources management and innovative workforce solutions," said Tania Goodine, Libro Credit Union Executive Vice President Engagement. "This demonstrates the strong Libro culture which celebrates and engages staff to be joyful in their work and find ever better ways to deliver world-class service to the communities we passionately serve, as Libro focuses on growing prosperity in southwestern Ontario by transforming banking."
The 2016 list represents organizations that have created great work environments through participation in Aon Hewitt's annual Best Employers in Canada Study. The study is based on more than 20 years of employee research and human resources expertise, with participating organizations measured across all levels of engagement, producing a multi-dimensional picture of the state of employee engagement.
"At Libro, we truly are a team of teams, and this honour wouldn't have been possible without the incredible participation by Libro staff in the study," said Cavell Fraser, Libro Credit Union Vice President Human Resources. "Culture does not create itself, we all play a vital role in contributing to what it means to be Libro. The survey is an important tool to help Libro do more of what's working as well as identify ways to continually improve. It is very exciting and humbling to be recognized as a Platinum Level Best Employer and to be included among the other dynamic organizations named on the 2016 list."

The study is the only national workplace research of its kind, providing an in-depth view into employee and leader opinions, comprehensive external benchmarking, and the expertise to identify the key priorities driving engagement and performance.
