LONDON, ON, Nov. 14, 2016 /CNW/ - Libro Credit Union (Libro) announced it has been recognized as a 2017 Platinum Level Aon Best Employer in Canada, for the second year in a row. This national honour acknowledges organizations who demonstrate strong and exceptional performance in employee engagement, leadership, performance culture and employment brand.
The achievement comes on the heels of Libro's annual Prosperity Day, which brought more than 650 staff together at the London Convention Centre on Friday Nov. 11. Libro staff observed and reflected on Remembrance Day, experienced new learning and networking opportunities through workshops, and were treated to a keynote presentation by Scott Stratten, co-owner of UnMarketing Inc. and co-host of The UnPodcast. It was also a time to celebrate the Aon Hewitt recognition.
Seventy-nine organizations made the 2017 List of the Aon Best Employers in Canada. Libro was one of 39 large organizations (more than 400 employees) who received this prestigious honour. Of the 39, Libro was one of 30 organizations who received the Platinum Level honour, scoring in the top 25 percent. Another nine organizations received the Gold Level honour for scoring in the top third.
"Libro is thrilled to be recognized as a Platinum Level Best Employer in Canada from Aon Hewitt for a second consecutive year," said Tania Goodine, Libro Credit Union Executive Vice President Engagement. "It's an amazing accomplishment demonstrating Libro's strong culture, where we truly operate as a 'team of teams'. This reflects Libro's passion for the people and communities we serve, as we focus on growing prosperity in southwestern Ontario by transforming banking."
The 2017 list represents organizations that have created great work environments through participation in Aon Hewitt's annual Best Employers in Canada Study. The study is based on more than 20 years of employee research and human resources expertise, with participating organizations measured across all levels of engagement, producing a multi-dimensional picture of the state of employee engagement.
Here are some highlights from the 2017 Canadian Study:
The study is the only national workplace research of its kind, providing an in-depth view into employee and leader opinions, comprehensive external benchmarking, and the expertise to identify the key priorities driving engagement and performance.
