Lieutenant Governor to Present Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medals to Atom Egoyan, Piers Handling and Michèle Maheux at Toronto International Film Festival Reception
TORONTO, Sept. 13, 2012 /CNW/ - The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will present Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals in the presence of Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex and members of the Canadian and British film community during a reception on Friday, September 14 at Queen's Park.
Renowned Canadian Filmmaker Atom Egoyan, and Toronto International Film Festival Directors Piers Handling and Michèle Maheux will each receive the medal for their outstanding contributions to Canadian arts and culture.
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by DJs and live musicians from UforChange.
Following the reception, Their Honours and The Countess of Wessex will attend a screening of TIFF feature Rebelle by Canadian Director Kim Nguyen.
