TORONTO, Oct. 7, 2013 /CNW/ - Lifetime's series premiere of Witches of East End cast a spell on TV viewers across the country last night. The 10pm series debut smashed previous network audience records making it Lifetime's number one series premiere and the number one specialty drama of the night across multiple demos with an AMA of 169,000 (A18-49), 152,000 (A25-54), 99,000 (W18-49) and 95,000 (W25-54).
In the salacious series premiere, Emmy Award Winner Julia Ormond, who stars as Joanna Beauchamp, reveals to her two unknowing daughters, Freya (Jenna Dewan Tatum) and Ingrid (Rachel Boston), that they are powerful and immortal witches. In next Sunday's episode, Ingrid discovers mysterious and dangerous family heirlooms that she uses to resurrect her Aunt Wendy (Mädchen Amick) while Joanna is jailed for a suspicious murder charge. Witches of East End airs Sunday nights at 10pm ET/7pm PT on Lifetime in Canada.
