MONTREAL, March 13, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - Following the Quebec Assembly of Catholic Bishops' announcement to cancel all Sunday Masses and in order to help the faithful participate more fully in their Sunday prayer, Archbishop Christian Lépine of Montreal will take the opportunity to offer a Mass in solidarity with the faithful at Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal. This Sunday Mass will be broadcast live as a closed session from the crypt.
Everyone is invited to follow the Mass online this Sunday, March 15, at 8:30 a.m. on Salt and Light Media's television and website and from 9:30 a.m. on Saint Joseph's Oratory webpage.
"We wish to offer spiritual support to the thousands of Catholics who seek to honour their Sunday prayer time despite the circumstances. Let us pray together to the Holy Trinity together so that, through the intercession of Saint Joseph, Saint Brother André and Our Lady, Health of the Sick, all can be comforted in these difficult times," said Archbishop Lépine.
"In welcoming Mgr Lépine to Saint Joseph's Oratory for this live-streamed Mass, we are pleased to be able to enable the faithful who so desire, to participate in the Eucharistic celebration, an important time in the life of a Christian," added Father Claude Grou, CSC, rector of Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal.
