Living Together Symposium bringing Haligonians in conversation about Canadian values
HALIFAX, June 1, 2016 /CNW/ - The Canadian Race Relations Foundation is hosting the "Halifax Living Together Symposium" – part of a series of cross-country events – on Monday, June 6, 2016. The interactive event is an invitation to individuals, community and faith leaders, academics and diversity champions to explore Canadian values and identity, while contributing a vision for Halifax and Canada.
"We need to keep striving towards a future for Halifax that reflects our diverse ethnocultural communities and Indigenous peoples," said Anita Bromberg, Executive Director, CRRF. "Having open conversations about identity, belonging and faith is crucial so that we can work together as we create an inclusive, harmonious society."
