Liza Drozdov named Vice-President of The Holmes Group

TORONTO, Aug. 1, 2012 /CNW/ - The Holmes Group is pleased to announce that Liza Drozdov has been appointed as Vice-President of The Holmes Group, effective July 31, 2012.

Since joining The Holmes Group in 2005, Liza has managed the Communications Team and all marketing initiatives, including advertising, publicity and media relations, as well as internal communications, governmental, community and public relations.  She has also overseen a number of product and television launches and partnership agreements, including a series of books, a consumer magazine, a syndicated newspaper column, a thriving website and The Holmes Group's social media community.

"I am excited to have Liza represent The Holmes Group's interests in Canada, US and abroad," said Mike Holmes, President of The Holmes Group. "For the past 7 years, she has consistently focused on growing the Holmes brand and I look forward to her continued success at The Holmes Group."

The primary focus in her new role as Vice-President will be to oversee all aspects of brand development, television production, Mike Holmes Inspections and Holmes Homes.

Before coming to The Holmes Group, Liza worked in both studio and field television production for Fusion Television and Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting. She also created and produced syndicated radio features for the CHUM Radio Network. Prior to 2002, Liza was a Professor at Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, teaching in the Corporate Communications and Business faculties.  Liza earned her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Philosophy from Trinity College, University of Toronto.
