Lloyd I. Miller, III acquires common shares of MFC Bancorp Ltd.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL, Aug. 18, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - On August 17, 2016, Lloyd I. Miller, III, ("Miller") acquired ownership, control or direction over an aggregate of 25,000 common shares of MFC Bancorp Ltd. ("MFC") (NYSE-MFCB), representing approximately 0.04% of the currently issued and outstanding common shares of MFC.  The foregoing common shares were acquired through Lloyd I. Miller Trust A-4 ("Trust A4"), a trust in respect of which Miller is the manager of the investment advisor. These common shares were acquired through the facilities of the NYSE at an average price of US$2.2995 per common share or CDN$2.9629 per common share (based on the Bank of Canada noon exchange rate on August 17, 2016).

Immediately prior to the transaction described herein, Miller owned or had control or direction over an aggregate of 7,601,464 common shares of MFC, representing approximately 12.04% of the issued and outstanding common shares of MFC through:
