Local Garlic Festivals Offer the Best of Ontario Garlic

TORONTO, Aug. 6, 2014 /CNW/ - Foodies can taste this years' Ontario garlic harvest at garlic festivals across the province. "Garlic lovers favourite time of year!" says Chef Donna Dooher, who plans to stock up on her winter supply. Nine garlic festivals run from August to September and feature rare garlic and fun activities. Locations and dates are listed at the Ontario Garlic Growers Association website (www.garlicgrowers.on.ca/wordpress2013/events). The association promotes awareness and appreciation of Ontario grown garlic and welcomes new members.
