"This tragic loss of two veteran Paramedics has been felt right across Canada," states OPA and TPA Director Roberta Scott. "I am honoured to be attending from Toronto to represent Paramedics from across Ontario. These two deaths are a great loss to everyone who knew and worked with Jo-Ann and Ivan. These Line of Duty deaths also serve to illustrate the level of risk inherent in the day to day duties of all Paramedics while they provide emergency medical care to those in need in their communities."
