TORONTO, July 9, 2012 /CNW/ - CTV announced today that the year's most anticipated new comedy will be stunt-launched out of the biggest television event in the world. With a four-pronged strategy launched out of the network's coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Games, ANGER MANAGEMENT will debut as follows:
- ANGER MANAGEMENT makes its world broadcast premiere with a preview of the pilot episode immediately following CTV's live coverage of the Closing Ceremony in all time zones on Sunday, August 12 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on CTV (check local listings)
- The pilot will encore the next night on Monday, August 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CTV
- The Comedy Network will premiere the episode on Tuesday, August 14 at 10 p.m. ET/PT
- Then, starting Wednesday, August 15 at 9 a.m. ET, the pilot will be available on demand across CTV's digital platforms - CTV.ca, the CTV App, via CTV Mobile on Bell Mobile TV and through the network's on-demand cable partners, such as Bell FIBE
ANGER MANAGEMENT, which marks the return of Charlie Sheen to network television and which broke ratings records when it debuted in the U.S., will enjoy an unprecedented level of on-air promotion leading up to, and during CTV's coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Monday's encore broadcast will follow a classic fan favourite episode of TWO AND A HALF MEN, starring Charlie Sheen, at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV.
"The opportunity to stunt launch ANGER MANAGEMENT immediately out of our London 2012 coverage is a scheduling dream, setting the series up for massive sampling and success," said Mike Cosentino, Senior Vice-President, Programming for CTV Networks. "We believe this strategy will deliver an awareness level on a scale that is unprecedented."

ANGER MANAGEMENT will make its highly anticipated fall premiere in its regular Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot (premiere date TBA).
ANGER MANAGEMENT features the no-holds-barred actor starring as "Charlie", a non-traditional therapist specializing in anger management, alongside co-stars Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions), Shawnee Smith (Saw VI), Vancouver's Daniela Bobadilla (AWAKE), Michael Arden (GCB), Noureen DeWulf (The Back Up Plan), and Brett Butler (Grace Under Fire).
Last December, Sheen told millions of Canadians in an exclusive on-air message on CTV that his new comedy series ANGER MANAGEMENT is coming to Canada. Now, his new comedy series is here and the comedic superstar has unleashed his character "Charlie" to the world. "I just want to play a guy that you can relate to, that you care about, that has some redeeming qualities," said Sheen in a recent RollingStone.com interview. "It's a guy that you know. It's a guy that you trust."
Bruce Helford (George Lopez, The Drew Carey Show) heads up the writing team and serves as showrunner. Joe Roth, Vince Totino, Dave Caplan and Mark Burg are executive producers along with Helford.
From Lionsgate-owned distributor Debmar-Mercury, ANGER MANAGEMENT is produced by Lionsgate Television in conjunction with Roth and Totino's Revolution Studios, Burg's Evolution Entertainment, Helford's Mohawk Productions, Inc. and Estevez Sheen Productions.
