Love is in the air and on the outdoor screen this summer

FREE Toronto outdoor movie series features nine romantic classics

TORONTO, June 5, 2013 /CNW/ - The Toronto Entertainment District BIA and media partner CP24, together with TIFF are pleased to announce the return of its popular FREE outdoor movie series TIFF in the Park. The outdoor movie screen lights up at David Pecaut Square every Wednesday at sunset from July 3 through to August 28, 2013. 

The films at this summer's fourth annual TIFF in the Park will feature nine romantic classics.  Casablanca, a true Hollywood classic, kicks off the summer series and is followed by modern tales of star-crossed lovers, classic romantic comedies and several dramatic entanglements. Audience members are encouraged to dress for the lawn and explore the many dining options in the Toronto Entertainment District.  Seating on the lawn is on a first-come, first-seated basis. Should the weather interfere with any screenings, a special rain date is scheduled for August 23, 2013.

Every Wednesday night of TIFF in the Park, moviegoers will witness a loving glow as the CN Tower kicks off each film with a special lighting presentation. Beginning at sunset, a luminous gold will shine from the CN Tower in recognition of these golden romantic film classics. In addition to its golden beacon providing a backdrop to the movie watching experience, the Tower's eight minute daily light show continues at the top of each hour.
