Through a new exclusive partnership, Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse and Canadian Football League offer a unique opportunity for one lucky Canadian to "Bring Home the Cup".
TORONTO, Oct. 3, 2013 /CNW/ - Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse, in partnership with the Canadian Football League (CFL), announced today the highlights of an exclusive national partnership which establishes Lowe's as the "Official Home Improvement Retailer of the CFL", including all 2013 semi-final games, division championship games, and the 101st Grey Cup Championship Game to be held on November 24th in Regina.
Through this national partnership Lowe's gains usage rights to the CFL and Grey Cup logos, along with the collective use of the names and logos of each of the CFL member clubs. The partnership also includes online, on-field and in-stadium exposure for Lowe's.
"We are thrilled to have entered into a new partnership with the CFL" says Sylvain Prud'homme, President of Lowe's Canada. "Aligning with a league whose format is so uniquely Canadian further demonstrates Lowe's commitment to our continued growth in Canada. I'm looking forward to seeing the Lowe's logo proudly displayed on-field during the playoff games."
"We are proud to welcome Lowe's to the CFL family," said CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon. "Adding a brand of Lowe's stature to our roster of corporate partners in this important category speaks to our momentum and value we deliver to our sponsors. We look forward to having them join us on the road to the 101st Grey Cup in Saskatchewan."
Starting October 3rd, fans will have a chance to win a VIP trip for two to the Grey Cup in Regina during Lowe's "Build Up to the Cup" sweepstakes. A $1000 Lowe's gift card and a 5-tool 18-Volt XRP cordless combo kit are also available to be won.
Of particular interest to Lowe's customers and loyal CFL fans, is the opportunity that this partnership creates for one lucky Canadian to "Bring Home the Cup". The "Bring Home the Cup" contest which is open to entries nation-wide, kicks off in-store and on Lowes.ca on October 24th, will offer the chance for one CFL fan to win the Grey Cup delivered to their home for a pre-determined amount of time. The cup will be hand delivered by Lowe's spokesperson and HGTV personality Bryan Baeumler.
"The parameters of our partnership with the CFL were really established with our customers in mind. While we're confident of the significant brand exposure that this opportunity will provide for Lowe's, the real winners here are our customers and the CFL fans, who are being offered a unique opportunity of a lifetime", explains Prud'homme.

About the Canadian Football League
This is today's CFL: star athletes playing a great game in modern venues. This is the inaugural season of Winnipeg's Investors Group Field. It's the home of Grey Cup 101 this November in Saskatchewan. It is where the Ottawa REDBLACKS will debut in 2014, just as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats take the field in their beautiful new stadium. This is our league: proudly Canadian and steeped in tradition, but built for the future.
