Lumberjacks and Fireworks Headline Canada Day Weekend Celebration
Celebrate 5 Days of Canada with Lumberjacks, Fireworks, and live entertainment.
VAUGHAN, ON, June 25, 2015 /CNW/ - Canada's Wonderland is painting the Park red from June 27 – July 1 in celebration of Canada's birthday! The weekend celebration gets underway with 7 spectacular live shows, a tribute to the Canadian Armed Forces with complimentary admission, and an amazing fireworks display on July 1st.
The West Coast Lumberjacks kick off their limited time engagement at International Showplace starting Saturday, June 27! Internationally recognized for their daredevil lumberjack skills, these lumberjacks will entertain guests of all ages while competing in Log Rolling, Tree Climbing, Axe Throwing, Chainsaw Carving, and more during multiple shows throughout the day.
Throughout the Canada Day weekend celebrations, guests that show their Canadian sprit by wearing red will be randomly selected throughout the Park and awarded prizes such as front-of-the-line passes, free funnel cakes, and much more!
Closing out with a bang, the Park will say, "Happy Birthday Canada" with a custom-designed fireworks show that features over 5,000 colourful explosions and exclusive effects created just for Canada's Wonderland! Diving into the program are Fire Divers that will light up the sky from Victoria Falls. The show begins at approximately 10:00 p.m., weather permitting, and is included with park admission.
