M E D I A A D V I S O R Y - Irrigation Farmers to release new study detailing the economic benefits of irrigation to Alberta

CALGARY, Aug. 17, 2015 /CNW/ - A news conference will be held to release detailed information concerning the benefits that accrue to Alberta through its commitment to a well planned and effectively managed irrigation system.

The event is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20^th, 2015; the Bow Waters Canoe Club, 1925 – 26 St. SE Calgary. (South of 17^th Ave SE, East of Deerfoot Trail)

Representatives of the Alberta Irrigation Projects Association will be hosting the event and will be available for interviews.

Photo opportunities will be available as the location is adjacent to the Western Irrigation District Main Canal.
