TORONTO, Dec. 11, 2015 /CNW/ - Mackenzie Financial Corporation (Mackenzie Investments) announced today that effective January 1, 2016, Rick Weed, Senior Vice President and Head of Systematic Strategies, will assume management of Mackenzie Global Small Cap Growth Fund, Mackenzie Global Small Cap Growth Class and Mackenzie Growth Fund as an extension of the team's responsibilities. The Systematic Strategies Team will apply their expertise in managing fundamental and systematic strategies to these funds.
Concurrent with this change, Chuck Bastyr, Vice President and Portfolio Manager, will be leaving Mackenzie Investments as of December 31, 2015 to pursue other opportunities.
Mackenzie Investments is also announcing that JP Morgan Asset Management's Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities team will assume portfolio management responsibilities for Mackenzie Emerging Markets Opportunities Class and Mackenzie Emerging Markets Opportunities Fund with Austin Forey and Leon Eidelman as the lead portfolio managers. Konstantin Boehmer, Vice President and Portfolio Manager, will assume portfolio management responsibilities for Mackenzie Asian Bond Fund and a portion of Symmetry Global Bond Fund. These portfolio management changes are effective immediately.
