Maestro Fresh Wes and Friends added to Canada's Walk of Fame Festival Lineup

K-OS, KARDINAL OFFISHALL AND CLASSIFIED JOIN CANADIAN HIP HOP LEGEND FOR HIS FIRST OFFICIAL CONCERT TO CELEBRATE THE 25^TH ANNIVERSARY OF SYMPHONY IN EFFECT

TORONTO, July 24, 2013 /CNW/ - Canada's Walk of Fame, along with National Premier Partner RBC, announced today that the godfather of Canadian hip hop, Maestro Fresh Wes along with some of today's hottest artists, are set to headline the Massey Hall stage on Saturday, September 21.

Rounding out the three-day Festival, the Maestro Fresh Wes and Friends landmark concert, celebrating the 25^th anniversary of his groundbreaking career, will include performing the entire JUNO Award-winning debut album Symphony In Effect. The album went double platinum when it was release in 1989 and remains one of the best-selling Canadian hip hop albums of all time. In honour of this milestone, Maestro is even turning back time in his concert fashion, dusting off the signature bowtie and black tuxedo style that marked Symphony In Effect's iconic album cover. In addition, Maestro will also perform tracks from his 2013 collaborative album Orchestrated Noise. Special guests joining the concert include three-time JUNO-winners K-OS and Kardinal Offishall along with JUNO-winner Classified, with more artists to be announced.

Tickets for the show start at $29.50. A VIP Ticket for $69.50 will be available, which will include a premium seat for the concert, a pre-show meet & greet and photo with Maestro Fresh Wes, as well as an autographed CD of his latest release, Orchestrated Noise.

Returning to Toronto from September 19-21, the Festival covers three days of music, featuring some of Canada's most popular performers. Previously announced headlining acts include Burton Cummings (Thursday, September 19) and Serena Ryder (Friday, September 20).
