Major Energy Industry Portal is Relaunched by Daily Mail's Energy Events Division
LONDON, June 19, 2013 /CNW/ - Last week, DMG Events (part of the Daily Mail General Trust plc), announced the relaunch of "Gastech News" a dedicated content website for energy professionals working in the hydrocarbons sector.
The free-to-access site delivers original, exclusive multi-media content in a fortnightly newsletter format, and will examine issues affecting the oil & gas sectors with a particular emphasis on the natural gas business. The site will support one of DMG Events' largest and most established international industry conferences and exhibitions: "Gastech". Running since 1972, the Gastech event brings together thousands of commercial and technical leaders working in natural gas and hydrocarbons to share news, experiences and expertise, and will next year be held in Seoul, South Korea, in March 2014.
The highly-respected energy industry journalist and commentator, Alex Forbes, has stepped into the role of Associate Editor, providing the relaunch with an exceptional level of insight and understanding of the issues that most impact the industry. Exclusive articles and interviews will dominate each issue, with features forthcoming that include: examining the United States LNG export breakthrough to Japan; reading between the lines of BP's recent 'world energy review'; understanding how China's Sinopec Corporation has grown so successfully; and what role natural gas will play in the future energy mix for Asia's growing economies.
Gavin Sutcliffe, Head of Content at DMG Events remarks;
"Rather than join the ranks of dozens of other energy industry news services, we realised how valuable it was to create a platform to deliver exclusive, original content and opinion pieces to the industry. Our interviews, articles, polls and columns - plus exclusive video uploads of Gastech conference presentations - provides unprecedented levels of value to our subscriber base, without them paying a penny to access it. We also wanted to provide something of permanent value to those who already enjoy our industry-leading events and conferences and who want to continue a dialogue and connection with peers throughout the year."
