TORONTO, June 1 /CNW/ - Toronto Taste takes place on Sunday, June 13th, indoors and outdoors, at the Royal Ontario Museum. Guests will sip and stroll under tents and around museum artefacts, sampling delicious, innovative dishes from top chefs Marc Thuet, Donna Dooher, Mark McEwan, Michael Smith and many more talented creators.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Toronto Taste. This unforgettable evening of cuisine and libations will bring together over 60 chefs and restaurants, more than 25 beverage providers and 1,600 guests all in support of Second Harvest. This year also marks the 15th anniversary of The Daniels Corporation leading the fight against hunger as Presenting Sponsor of Toronto Taste.
Chef, cookbook author, and professional bon vivant Bob Blumer will serve as Host for the evening. Bob is best known as the creator and host of Food Network's award winning shows Surreal Gourmet and Glutton for Punishment. In addition to hosting the event, Bob will auction himself off for a private BBQ party at the home of one lucky winner and ten of their friends. About Second Harvest
Second Harvest is a charitable organization that takes a common-sense approach to hunger. We pick up donated, perishable food, which would otherwise go to waste, and deliver that food to over 200 social service agencies in the GTA. Last year, Second Harvest delivered almost 6 million pounds of food to feed those who are hungry in our city. Recognized for our efficiency and impact, independent research group Charity Intelligence named Second Harvest a CI Recommended Charity in 2009.
