TORONTO, April 28, 2016 /CNW/ - Manulife Financial Corporation (Manulife) announced that Lisa Butler has been appointed Chief Talent & Diversity Officer. In this newly created global role, Ms. Butler will be responsible for ensuring Manulife attracts, develops and retains a high performing global workforce. She will also be responsible for ensuring that all employees feel valued, and respected and contribute to the success of the company, driving innovation and the customer-centric strategy. She reports directly to Stephani Kingsmill, Executive Vice President, Human Resources, and will be providing progress updates to the Company's Board of Directors.

Ms. Butler has held several senior positions in Human Resources over her 12 years with Manulife, including roles focused on the acquisition, management and development of talent. She most recently oversaw the successful integration of Standard Life employees.
