Many Ways to Serve With Canada's New Defence Plan
Strong, Secure Engaged strategically positions Canadian Forces for the future
TORONTO, June 13, 2017 /CNW/ - Canada Company applauds the recently-announced federal government's visionary plan for the future of the Canadian Forces.
"This initiative and investment will re-invigorate our world-class military, ensuring its long-term strength and sustainability," said Canada Company founder, Blake Goldring.
"In particular, aiding the transition from military to civilian life is a welcome acknowledgement of the breadth and depth of talent and experience that military personnel have to offer.
Every year, Canada releases about 5,000 men and women from military service. Canada Company helps many of them through its Military Employment Transition (MET) Program for veteran and their spouses.
By directing such significant resources to this often-difficult move from one sector to the other, the federal government ensures that Canadian Forces personnel are more seamlessly re-deployed to serve our country in a new way: strengthening our national economy.
The policy – and the investment behind it – represents an important step toward raising public awareness of all that our veterans have to offer Canadian businesses.
