Marc Lemieux joins Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP
MONTREAL, April 16 /CNW Telbec/ - Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (FMC), one of Canada's leading business and litigation law firms, is very proud to welcome Marc Lemieux as a partner and the head of its financial services group in Montreal.
"We are very pleased that Marc chose FMC for his return to private practice and are delighted to welcome him to our firm. He is very talented and has an exceptional legal mind, which has led him to prominence in the business community, both locally and nationally. In addition to Marc's recognized expertise in banking law and corporate financing, his recent experience heading the legal affairs department of a major corporation gives him insight into clients' concerns about risk management and legal costs. His vast knowledge of the business world will also be a great asset to our specialized teams and will help FMC remain a leader in many sectors of activity, whether acting for small and medium-size enterprises or Canadian and foreign multinationals. Our clients and the entire firm will benefit from his advice and knowledge", states Claude Morency, managing partner of FMC's Montreal office.
Marc Lemieux's professional experience began at the Supreme Court of Canada, where he clerked for the Hon. Claire L'Heureux-Dubé. He then went into practice with a major national law firm, where he developed expertise primarily in financing and litigation between banks and their clients. For the last three years, he has held the position of Vice-President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary for a major Québec energy corporation. Mr. Lemieux has also been lecturing on banking law at the Law Faculty of McGill University for the past several years.
