CAA recommends you plan before you get on the road, map out your routes and ensure your vehicle is properly maintained. If you are making the trek south be sure to take plenty of breaks from driving and make sure you are well rested before getting behind the wheel.
"We suggest three days of travel time to Florida destinations with a 15-minute break every two hours," said Silvana Aceto, spokesperson for CAA SCO.
This March Break, CAA SCO prepared over 3,000 TripTiks for members. TripTiks outline routes for travellers detailing highway exits, rest stops, lodgings and construction projects. Now you can create FREE TripTiks online to map your trip and plan your route. Visit www.caasco.com/travel/maps-triptik/.
