TORONTO, Feb. 25 /CNW/ - Global Television continues to heat up this March with red-hot programming in primetime. In addition to all-new episodes of fan favourites such as House, NCIS, NCIS: LA, Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains and The Office, Global's powerhouse line-up includes the series premiere of new comedy Sons of Tucson and a new season of the hit reality series Celebrity Apprentice.
Premiering Sunday, March 14 - 9pm ET/PT, the Donald is back in the two-hour, season three premiere of smash hit reality series Celebrity Apprentice. Using their fame, contacts and business acumen, 14 celebrities will attempt to win weekly business-driven tasks to stay out of the boardroom and avoid hearing Trump say, "You're fired!" This season's contestants include singer/songwriter Cyndi Lauper; reality star Sharon Osbourne; actress Holly Robinson Peete; model Selita Ebanks; pro wrestler Maria Kanellis; critically-acclaimed comedian Carol Leifer; Olympic gold, silver and bronze medalist Summer Sanders; baseball legend Darryl Strawberry; singer/songwriter Bret Michaels; pro wrestler Bill Goldberg; Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson; embattled former governor of Illinois Rod Blagojevich; comedian Sinbad; and master chef Curtis Stone.
Another addition to the Global line-up is the quirky new comedy Sons of Tucson on Thursday, March 11 - 9:30pm ET/PT. This half-hour series follows three brothers who hire a wayward schemer, Ron Snuffkin (Canadian Tyler Labine), to stand in as their father when their real one goes to prison. While Sons of Tucson is grounded in the day-to-day challenges of a single-parent home, nothing in the Gunderson household is quite what it seems. An ongoing chess match between Ron and the boys keeps both parties on their toes, as neither side can afford to give up too much power or independence.
Also this month, in her final Oscar(R) Night edition of The Barbara Walters Special (Sunday, March 7 - 7 pm ET/PT), the iconic Walters sits down for a candid conversation with Academy Award(R) nominees Sandra Bullock and Mo'Nique. In what has become an annual tradition, this final pre-Oscars special will feature a comprehensive look back at interviews with celebrities including Cher, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Steven Spielberg, Halle Berry, Renée Zellweger, Diane Keaton, George Clooney, Sophia Loren, Helen Mirren, President and Mrs. Reagan and Kim Basinger.
The primetime action doesn't stop there as new episodes of fan favourites and critically-acclaimed series return starting next week.
In an all-new The Good Wife, Tuesday, March 2 - 10pm ET/PT, Tony Award-winning actor Alan Cumming guest stars as a new member of Peter's (Chris Noth) political team. And while Peter gets acclimated to life at home, Alicia (Golden Globe(R) Award winner Julianna Margulies) and Diane (Christine Baranski) wrestle with spousal privilege laws in a murder case that hinges on their ability to get a wife to testify against her husband.
From the courtroom to the delivery room, it's the episode everyone's been waiting for - the birth of Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim's (John Krasinski) baby in a special one-hour episode of The Office, Thursday, March 4 - 9pm ET/PT. Pam's contractions begin but she and Jim are determined to wait it out as long as possible so they can have more time at the hospital. Meanwhile, the rest of the office tries to distract Pam from the pain with food and entertainment.
Also next week, don't miss new episodes of hit series 24 on Monday, March 1 - 9pm ET/PT; NCIS followed by NCIS: LA on Tuesday, March 2 starting at 8pm ET/PT; Kitchen Nightmares on Wednesday, March 3 - 9pm ET/PT; Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains on Thursday, March 4 - 8pm ET/PT; and Numb3rs on Friday, March 5 - 10pm ET/PT.
Finally, Monday, March 8 sees the highly-anticipated return of Canada's hottest drama, House, at 8pm ET/PT. Laura Prepon (That '70s Show) guest stars as a blogger who is admitted with unexplained bruises and bleeding. While she blogs about her symptoms, possible diagnoses and doctors, she also solicits advice from her readers about her treatment. This unsettles the team, especially after House (Golden Globe winner Hugh Laurie) and Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) learn secrets from each other's pasts online.
