March Networks Expands Intelligent Video Integrations with New Pacom Access Control System Certifications
ATLANTA, GA, Sept. 29, 2014 /CNW/ - March Networks®, a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, today announced the integration of its Command Video Management System (VMS) software and 8000 Series Hybrid Network Video Recorders (NVRs) with the Graphical Management System (GMS) and Unison offerings from Pacom Systems. The certifications provide organizations with unified IP video surveillance and access control solutions that support better risk mitigation, rapid incident response times and more efficient system management.
"March Networks is committed to delivering intelligent video solutions with a comprehensive set of tools that are easy for organizations to use on a daily basis," said Net Payne, Chief Marketing Officer, March Networks. "Our open VMS software and high-performance recording platform combined with Pacom's proven access control systems provide our mutual customers with cohesive security solutions. The integrations also offer greater choice to those organizations preparing to upgrade to more advanced physical security management."
The certified integrations provide security professionals with convenient, one-click access to live or recorded March Networks video directly in the GMS and Unison software interfaces. They allow staff to visually verify potential threats quickly and proceed with the appropriate alarm handling procedure to ensure effective management. Operators can easily add surveillance camera icons to GMS and Unison interactive site maps, and then simply select an icon to live stream video from the March Networks system to any workstation. Other features include point-and-click PTZ camera controls and the ability to retrieve recorded video via GMS and Unison transaction logs.
"The ability to seamlessly integrate access control, intruder alarm and video verification in a single security management solution is a must-have for many multi-site organizations today," said Steve Barton, Chief Technology Officer, Pacom Systems. "Given March Networks' reputation for reliable, high-performance video surveillance, we are proud to name them as a best-in-class video integration partner."
March Networks Command™ and 8000 Series Hybrid NVR systems deliver advanced live monitoring, investigation and video management capabilities for IP and hybrid IP/analog security environments. Working together or as separate video surveillance solutions, they support a complete portfolio of IP cameras, encoders and analytics. The software solutions also allow organizations to transition from analog to high-definition IP video networking cost-effectively and at their own pace.
