TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - Marcia Visser, a Trustee of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (SHSC) Board, has been named Chair of the Ontario Hospital Association's (OHA) Board of Directors.
Visser was appointed at the OHA's Annual Meeting of Members, which coincided with the association's award-winning annual conference, HealthAchieve, one of the largest health care conferences of its kind in North America.
"I look forward to serving as Chair of the OHA," Visser said. "The entire province is facing change on many fronts. Therefore, I see the time ahead as a period of transformation, which holds great promise for the improvement and advancement of the health care system."

Marcia Visser was elected to the OHA Board in November 2009. She has more than 20 years experience in the health care sector both in Canada and the U.S. Marcia is currently a member of the Regent Park Community Health Centre, OTN and The Change Foundation Board of Directors. She is also a Peer Facilitator at the Canadian Patient Safety Institute.
