Mark Bonokoski named to Canadian News Hall of Fame
TORONTO, Sept. 17, 2017 /CNW/ - Award-winning newspaperman Mark Bonokoski has been named to the Canadian News Hall of Fame for 2017.
His career started at the Calgary Herald and the Windsor Star before joining the Toronto Sun in 1974. He is currently a political columnist for the Sun Media division of Postmedia. Bonokoski has won scores of newspaper awards, including a National Newspaper Award for column writing in 2004. He will be inducted at a gala banquet at The National Club, Toronto, on November 21.
The Canadian News Hall of Fame was founded by the Toronto Press Club in 1965 as a national program to honor individuals who have made a significant contribution to journalism in Canada. A total of 122 men and women have been inducted to date.
