MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 15 /CNW/ - Marriott Hotels & Resorts Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Allison as Vice President, Canadian Operations. In his new role, Scott will have two key areas of leadership responsibility. First, he will be responsible for driving revenue growth across the Marriott portfolio of brands in Canada. Second, he will play a primary role in establishing and managing relationships with Canadian hotel owners and franchisees and will also have direct line responsibility for corporately managed hotels. Scott joined Marriott in 2000 and is the current Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Marriott Hotels & Resorts of Canada. Scott will transition to his new role as Vice President, Canadian Operations effective December 4, 2010.
Based in Mississauga, Scott serves on the board of directors of the Canadian Tourism Commission. He also serves on the executive committee of the board of directors for the Hotel Association of Canada and the advisory board for Seneca College's Business Administration program.
Marriott Hotels & Resorts of Canada has over 60 full-service and select-service hotels located across the country, with 80 hotels expected to be open or under construction by 2012.
