MasterCard & Stand Up To Cancer Canada Announce Exciting Collaboration in Support of Cancer Research in Canada
TORONTO, Aug. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - MasterCard, Stand Up To Cancer Canada (SU2C Canada), a program of EIF Canada, a Canadian registered charity, and residents from the City of Toronto will join forces to announce support for SU2C Canada's groundbreaking innovative and collaborative cancer research, which is marking its entry into Canada.
MasterCard, SU2C Canada and its collaborators and supporters, including Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, CIBC, Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, and SickKids, will be joined by cancer survivors, patients and individuals who have friends and families impacted by cancer for an "I Stand Up For" group photo.
Once the media event concludes citizens are invited to the courtyard to stand up for a loved one affected by cancer and have their photo taken to generate SU2C Canada donations from MasterCard. Those unable to join the Toronto event can tweet a photo of themselves standing up to cancer with #WeSU2C. Each tweet will generate a $5 donation from MasterCard.
