TORONTO, Oct. 8, 2014 /CNW/ - MasterCard's renewed partnership with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) will have sports fans celebrating the win. The deal brings fans the ultimate experience with deals, access and two new Priceless seats at ice- and court-level for every Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors home game – seats that cannot be purchased, but will be awarded to cardholders at every game. MasterCard also brings its cutting-edge technologies to further enhance game time for fans.
"Sports fandom is about the creation of memories; this partnership will bring two global powerhouse brands together to create priceless experiences for sports fans," says Milos Vranesevic, VP, Head of Marketing, MasterCard Canada. "We're excited about the possibilities we can create for fans. Our unrivalled payment innovations and MLSE's market-leading sports franchises are partnering to enhance the end-to-end game experience for fans."
"MLSE is pleased to partner with a payment brand like MasterCard," says Dave Hopkinson, Chief Commercial Officer, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. "Our goal is to provide the ultimate game experience and by leveraging MasterCard's payment technologies and priceless moments we can rest assured that Air Canada Centre patrons will be able to engage in an experience like no other."
Just in time for the Toronto Maple Leafs season home-opener, MasterCard offers Five Tips for the Ultimate Fan:
1. If you arrive for the puck-drop, you've missed half the experience
Nothing says game day like hundreds of pumped up fans streaming into Air Canada Centre together. Arrive early and experience the excitement building at Ford Fan Zone at Maple Leaf Square. Check out the MasterCard Priceless Zone, a fully digital interactive experience where cardholders have exclusive access to limited-edition merchandise for sale. Cardholders also have preferred dining access at Real Sports Bar & Grill and e11even.
2. Minimize line-up time
The tying basket of the game happens in seconds. Don't miss the swoosh because you're waiting to pay. Plan your snack breaks strategically and save valuable seconds by tapping to pay. All 177 Air Canada Centre concession stands are equipped with MasterCard's Tap & Go technology.
3. Feel the ultimate rush when you win the Priceless ice-level seats
MasterCard cardholders are eligible for Priceless Surprises each time they engage over social or use their card. You may be chosen to bring a friend to the new Priceless seats. These two ice-level seats between the home and away player benches for the Leafs, and courtside for the Raptors, are reserved exclusively for MasterCard cardholders. No seats are closer to the action.
4. Don't be shy: show your colours
Don your favorite gear and turn the Air Canada Centre into a sea of blue and white or an ocean of red, white and black to show the opposing team why Toronto is made up of ultimate fans. MasterCard cardholders get 10% off all team gear purchased at the newly renovated Real Sports Apparel located at Gate 1 of the arena.
5. Don't have tickets? The Ultimate Fan knows how to find them
Leafs and Raptors tickets may be harder to source than a Carlton The Bear snuggie, but MasterCard cardholders have access to a presale window selling 75 upper bowl tickets as well as VIP tickets and premium packages for each Leafs and Raptors game. The presale window is available to cardholders on the Priceless Toronto website.
