/CNW/ - Matrikon Inc. (TSX:MTK) is pleased to announce that it has been named one of Alberta's Top 50 Employers for 2010. Winners of the Alberta's Top 50 Employers competition were selected from applicants to the Canada's Top 100 Employers competition, to which there were over 2,600 applicants. Matrikon completed an extensive application process that included a detailed review of their operations and human resources practices.
"This special designation recognizes Matrikon as a leading employer in our industry and an exceptional place to work," said Amanda Broos, Matrikon's manager of human resources. "We aspire to be the best company to work for and are honored to be named as one of the most progressive and forward-thinking employers in Alberta."
Mediacorp
Canada
Inc. editors graded each of the applicants on eight key areas: physical workplace; work and social atmosphere; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement. These criteria have remained consistent since the inception of the national competition, now in its 10th year. Mediacorp editors also publish detailed reasons on their job search site, Eluta.ca, explaining why each of the winning employers was selected.
