Matt Choi's Certus Trading to Launch Two New Products for Scheduling Trades in 2018

TORONTO, Dec. 21, 2017 /CNW/ - Two new trading products designed to give small traders some of the market advantages of institutional and other larger-scale investors will be launched in 2018 by Matt Choi's Certus Trading, a trading education company that has been helping traders since 2011.

Certus Trading's new "Profit Scheduler for Stocks" and "Profit Scheduler for Options" will help subscribers piggyback onto the buying and selling schedules of large investment professionals.

Certus Trading's Matt Choi says such traders typically plan weeks or months in advance of buying or selling shares. Their buys are typically scheduled before the announcement of strong seasonal financial results. Conversely, they often sell before news is released of weak seasonal numbers.

"Their transactions are so substantial that they can move stocks and markets," Choi explains. "Through data mining, it is possible for retail traders to predict the trading schedules of these financial institutions and hedge funds. That's what our new Profit Scheduler products will share."

Both Profit Schedulers will be published weekly. Profit Scheduler for Stocks will include one or two bullish stocks with a strong seasonal tendency to move up over a five to 45 day period. Each has a success rate from the same periods of previous years of at least 80 percent and returns of between 3 percent to 12 percent. One example is Hershey Company (HSY), whose stock has advanced 19 of the last 21 years between Feb. 13 and 23, presumably on seasonal strong global chocolate and related product sales leading up to Valentine's Day.

Certus Trading's Profit Scheduler for Options will include one or two options trades that are bullish and bearish. Long calls, long puts, debit spreads, and credit spreads will be the primary strategies used based on volatility and duration of the trade. Matt Choi says the preciseness of the schedules will allow the trades to be aggressive, with a target of 50 percent to 100 percent return on investment.

"These products aren't for every kind of trader, but they do have advantages for certain situations, like part-time traders with limited time or investors in search of short-term, rule-based strategies," Matt Choi adds.
