EDMONTON, March 5, 2018 /CNW/ - Mattamy Homes, North America's largest privately owned homebuilder, will host a lively grand-opening event on Saturday, March 10, to showcase Stillwater, the company's first master-planned community in the City of Edmonton.
The grand opening will take place on Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Mattamy Sales Center at 2110 199th Street NW. Following a ceremonioal ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., the nearly 500 expected guests will have the opportunity to tour the new sales centre and seven fully decorated model homes, as well as enjoy food trucks and family entertainment.
A total of 81units will be available for sale at the launch of this community, with more than 1,300 units making up the entire community over its sales lifespan. Prices range from the $200s for townhomes to $300s for single-family homes and will include a limited number of quick-possession homes for sale at the grand opening.
"This special community will feature Mattamy's signature thoughtful designs and offers homeowners a number of features that are both new and unique in Edmonton," says Dave Armstrong, President of Mattamy's Edmonton Division. "It's a sensational product line-up, designed meticulously based on Edmonton consumers' input and highly skilled architects. Our entire team is excited to bring it to market."
Stillwater will have a distrinct architectural feel and mountain theme that extends throughout the community. Other community features include:
- A private, world-class amenity centre, the first of its kind in the area. Residents will have exclusive access to a playground, hockey and skating rink, and splash pad, as well as a variety of activities that promote healthy, active lifestyles.
- Single-family homes with two-car garages, an Edmonton market first at this price point.
Stillwater will be a fully master-planned community that embraces the nature around it, mixing parks, trails and green space. The highlight is a naturalized wetland area that is strategically paired with a storm pond. Water from the storm pond will be pumped into the wetland at specific times of the year to match the natural hydro period of the wetland. This approach is a first in Edmonton and will ensure that the wetland complex's natural health and characteristics are sustained into the future. The Wetland was developed in collaboration with Native Plant Solutions (Ducks Unlimited) and the local Mattamy team.
