New! A tasty snack at the Quai Roulant Food Truck?
Throughout the long weekend, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Le Quai Roulant, a food truck will be serving up a variety of mouth-watering Montréal street cuisine alongside Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. Take some time to get a bite to eat and admire the splendid landscape provided by the river and the famed Biosphère.
Bike rentals with Écorécréo
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Écorécréo rental and repair workshop is offering 30 additional free minutes with any bike rental. You can also rent Segways here. It`s a wonderful opportunity to travel along the 25 kilometres of bike trails and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve that provide a spectacular view of downtown Montréal.
Rowing competition at the Olympic Basin
On Saturday, May 17, some 200 rowers from 20 schools in Québec and Ontario aged 19 and under will be at the Olympic Basin competing in the Eastern Rowing Association high-school regatta. Come and cheer them on!
Opening of La Ronde
Do you like big thrills? La Ronde opens on Saturday, May 17 for the entire long weekend. With more than 40 rides and attractions, a fun time is assured!
Two Piknic Électronik performances to open the season!
To add some punch to the start of the season, there will be two Piknic Électronik events – Sunday, May 18, and the holiday Monday, the 19th. That means twice the fun dancing to the electro beats under the renowned Alexander Calder sculpture, L'Homme!
Stewart Museum
In honour of National Patriots Day and International Museum Day, the Stewart Museum is offering a guided tour on the history of the Patriots through its collection which is among the most extensive in the province of Québec. The tour will provide such interesting information as the role played by the military depot on Île Sainte-Hélène, where the artillerymen who participated in the armed skirmishes were lodged.
